UK Status Resident. Widespread throughout Britain but more common in the north. Montgomeryshire Status Recorded from a few sites in the north and west of the county. Wingspan : M & F, 18-22mm. Confusion species E. solandriana. |
Flight time & Voltinity
(Univoltine)  Habitat Mixed woodland. Foodplant Birch, hazel and willow. Lifestage data Leaf roller. Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva forms a transversely rolled leaf and feeds within. Pupates spun up in a cocoon of silk and earth particles. |
